GlobalFoundries and TSMC sign $2 billion deal for US silicon interposers in AI packaging

GlobalFoundries will manufacture silicon interposers for TSMC's CoWoS advanced packaging at its Malta, New York fab under a five-year $2 billion agreement, creating the first US source with volume production ramping in early 2028.
